FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I HAVE THE RAW PHOTOS?
No, I do not offer RAW (unedited) images. I also ask that you refrain from altering the image or editing it further because I attach my editing style as part of my work. If something is not to your liking I would be happy to alter it myself. For example, adjusting the lighting or if you would like a photo in black & white.
HOW WILL I ACCESS MY PHOTOS?
I will email you a Google Photos album link to your gallery! Then you may share and download the photos as you please! I do ask that if you post them on social media or elsewhere on the internet, you tag my name and/or Instagram @olivialeephoto ! Mentioning my website is great too, olivialeephotography.com.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS BACK?
If you have booked a photoshoot for 15-30 minutes expect to receive photos back within 1-2 weeks. If you booked a photoshoot for 1-2 hours, expect to receive photos back within 2-3 weeks. For weddings, elopements, events, or other photoshoots lasting 3+ hours, expect to receive photos within 3-4 weeks. I usually love to share a few sneak peeks within 2-3 business days, so you can get excited!
Please note, I do not begin the editing process until all session fees are fully paid and the photo release & agreement is signed. Photos will not be edited or returned to you unless full payment is made.
WHERE CAN I HAVE MY SESSION?
I am happy to assist in finding location ideas for your session! I know many fantastic spots in the KC metro area. I will travel within a 20-mile radius (or approximately 30 minutes or less) from my base location, located in zip code 64151. For 15 minute sessions I offer a 10-mile radius included. For sessions located beyond this distance, a travel fee of $3 per mile will apply. If you have any questions about travel or need assistance with planning the location of your session, feel free to reach out! Please note that if you would like to add an additional location to your session, there is a $25 travel fee. If you are inquiring for a session outside of the KC Metro area, please contact me directly. There are many locations I would offer to photograph elopements and weddings for free if travel, lodging, and food expenses are covered.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY SESSION?
Wear whatever you would like! It does not have to be neutrals or a suit & tie. If colorful, casual, or comfy is your vibe, I am all for it! Please note that additional outfit changes will incur a fee of $25, with 10 minutes allocated for each change.
CAN I INVITE EXTENDED FAMILY?
For family sessions, this includes immediate family and one non family member. Any extended family or families larger than 6 people incur a fee of $10 per person to accommodate for timeliness and spacial needs. If you are bringing infants, toddlers, or children, I recommend bringing a toy they love or something cool for them to look at, like a light up ball, so I can hold it and use it as a focal point tool to look at the camera!
WHAT ABOUT MY PETS? CAN THEY JOIN?
Pets are welcome to attend for no additional cost, but please bring treats or toys, it will help them comply and look at the camera! (Toys work for kiddos too, ha!)
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROPOSAL AND ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS? AREN’T THEY THE SAME?
While you can book these two sessions together at a discounted rate, a proposal session and an engagement session are different. A proposal session includes time before, during, and after someone “pops the question” in the moment. An engagement session ONLY includes photos AFTER a proposal, not in the moment. This can be done immediately following a proposal or even a few days/weeks/months after. However, I offer a dual package for proposal and engagement sessions at a discounted rate, taking off $20 the total of both combined, if you book both sessions at the same time, but they do not need to take place on the same day. HOW CAN I PAY?
I offer booking through Acuity Scheduling where you can securely pay through the website, or you may pay with cash, check, or payment app such as Venmo, Cash App, Paypal, or Apple Pay.
HOW CAN I GET A DISCOUNT?
If you had a great experience during our session and refer someone who books with me, you'll receive a $20 referral credit to use toward your next session! Thank you for spreading the word and supporting my work! Please have them mention your name on my inquiry form or directly in a message/email to successfully earn your credit.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
No worries! I keep a few extra dates/times open for this very reason! Let me know 48 hours in advance and we can reschedule.
If you need to cancel, I offer your initial deposit back if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance. For weddings, elopements, and events, a one-week advancement cancellation is required to receive your initial deposit. This applies to all reasons, such inclement weather, emergency health issues, family matters, or other Acts of God.
A 50% initial deposit of the total investment price is required at the time of booking, before the photo session. The remaining 50% is to be paid on the day of the session, either prior to the session or before we part ways after the session. Events, elopements, and weddings must be paid in full at least one month in advance.
